Mission Statement

It is the mission of Sacred Heart School At St. Paul’s to provide each child with a Christ-centered, comprehensive, and challenging education that nurtures self-esteem and a love of learning. The heart of our Mission is the integration of the scholastic, religious, and human experiences that are needed for continued growth, success in high school and college, and a life of integrity and principles. As believers in Gospel values, we reflect God's love upon each child and advance the entire learning process with the blessings of faith and the power of grace.

Our Philosophy

We believe that elementary education provides the most effective and positive impact upon a child only when all aspects of the developing child are acknowledged and nurtured: intellectual, physical, social, emotional, moral, and spiritual.

Therefore, we believe that a Catholic school has both the unique opportunity and the sacred responsibility to educate the whole child - mind, heart, and spirit.
First and foremost, we believe that it is the school's responsibility to create a safe, caring, and inspiring atmosphere for students that is conducive to the achievement of:

  • personal success in learning

  • the transmission of Christian values

  • the formation of individuals who will become competent, caring members of society, and lifelong learners

We believe that
parents and family are the primary teachers and role models for their children, necessitating close cooperation and open communication between home and school.

We embrace and
celebrate the image of God in all people and look upon the years that a child spends in elementary school as critical for the cultivation of love and respect for all people.

Sacred Heart believes that faith in God and the message of the Gospels call for an abiding belief in the potential of every student. The opportunity to attain individual excellence and a life of peace, productivity, creativity, and happiness must be presented during a child's formative years - within the walls of their elementary school.

Curriculum

At Sacred Heart we recognize that elementary school lays the foundation upon which all future learning rests. These are the years that nurture and set in place a child's curiosity, learning habits and basic skills. Our curriculum therefore is not only rich, diverse and sequential, it also takes into account the different learning styles of each child.

Religious Studies

As a Catholic, Christian school, Sacred Heart seeks to nurture a child's conscience and spirit so they will become individuals of compassion, integrity and responsibility.

Children in all grades study religion.

We are blessed as a faith based school to be able to pray together each and every day and recognize the presence of God's grace within our lives.

In addition, prayer services for children of many faiths are held regularly, celebrating the diversity of our school.

Tuition

At Sacred Heart we recognize that providing a private, faith based education for your child is a significant undertaking for your family which requires a financial commitment. Our goal is to provide as much needs-based scholarship aid as we can.
